Created specifically for the 2009 360 Tour, the U2 Ripple Beacon is a DMX operated lighting effect that comprises a 6000W MSR lamp in the centre of a perforated drum that can be rotated. The lamp can be remotely switched on or off using DMX commands, as can the direction and speed of the rotation.

 The unit has evolved from the earlier Willie Williams Lumia Domestica project, scaled up for stadium use!
