There can't be many people with an eye
on the entertainment industry that have failed to notice the
huge illuminated sign accompanying Morrissey on his recent
tour and publicity shots. Forming the centrepiece for his
shows, this custom sign was designed and manufactured by
Specialz to a brief provided by lighting designer Max
Conwell.Comprising over 1000
lamps, the 12 foot high sign was fabricated from aluminium -
with each letter in two halves so that it could be
transported in a standard dolly, again designed by us.
Visually, the sign looks stunning
thanks to Max's choice of base colour for the letters, which
means they can be red one moment or green the next. Las
Vegas effects are also possible due to the three circuit
wiring scheme.
